Grammy-winning R&B singer D’Angelo died on October 14 at age 51 after a personal fight with pancreatic cancer.

“The brilliant light of our household has faded away for us in this life,” his family stated. “After a prolonged and courageous battle with cancer, we are heartbroken to announce that D’Angelo, recognized by his followers around the world as D’Angelo, has been taken from us.”
