The Streaming Giant Chooses Perfect Star for Bentham in the Hit Series Upcoming Installment
The Secret Organization is poised to make a major impact in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, though the real showdown won’t take place until the third season, and a adored, audience-beloved member has recently been selected.
The streaming service revealed this week that Cole Escola is now part of the One Piece cast for the third season and will portray Bentham. This character possesses the power to change into an exact copy of anyone they’ve made contact with with their main hand. The actor, who is non-binary and goes by they/them, will play a version of that character re-envisioned as non-binary, rather than as a drag queen, in the live-action show, differing from the source material and anime.
Escola joins several other fresh additions set to bring the organization to reality, such as leader Sir Crocodile, brought to life by Joe Manganiello, an emerging star as Miss Goldenweek, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the ensemble as King Nefertari Cobra of the fictional land.
